This is the fully documented restoration of a 1918 WWI Waltham Trench Watch that I completed in December of 2011. As you can see in the first several pictures this one was pretty much heading for the trash bin until until it came to my attention. I held this watch in my hand and gave it a very good inspection for about 20 minutes before I decided to make the purchase. I saw the potential in this watch and I had a feeling that I would be able to bring this one back to splendor. You must have vision when taking on a watch project like this one! The pictures show a step by step process of the work performed from case restoration, complete movement breakdown & overhaul including polishing the inside of the metal bushings, re-luming of the dial and hands and then the fully re-assembled finished project. This is one of my absolute favorite watch restoration projects that I have ever done.
